Ala's work at FMA has involved providing support to the fiscal sustainability department of one of our clients in the Middle East, working on the project management function of their national fiscal reform programme, and more recently on the development of their fiscal sustainability plan. She has also been engaged on a project for the design of an international climate impact challenge to incentivise innovation within clean technologies, and encourage economies of scale within the carbon market.


Prior to joining FMA, Ala worked at the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, fostering investment and trade between the Arab region and UK. She has also organised a self-run distribution project in Syria.  Ala has a First Class degree in International Relations from Queen Mary London, and an MSc in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics.
