Gaukhar supports our work in Central Asia and the Caucasus and advises on our work on foreign direct investment.

Gaukhar was the Head of the Eurasian Studies Lab at the Institute of Emerging Markets Studies (IEMS), an EY supported international business think tank in Moscow, Hong Kong and Hyderabad.  Prior to the IEMS, Gaukhar Nurgalieva worked as Advisor to Head Commissioner from Kazakhstan at the Eurasian Economic Commission and held senior positions in state owned enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where she was responsible for inward investment. She holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from the George Washington University and a Master of Arts in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
