Nick brings his extensive senior experience in government and business to support FMA’s work with government clients in Latin America and the Middle East. As Francis Maude’s Deputy Minister in the Cabinet Office, he played a central role in delivering the ground-breaking efficiency and reform programme. He was Britain’s longest-serving Minister for Civil Society, where he created a world-leading programme of social impact investment. As Minister for Climate Change and Industry, he was responsible for UK carbon budgets, climate finance and the UK Green Growth strategy.

Nick has a substantial business background spanning over 18 years, which included setting up and growing an investment banking business in Brazil. His current work focuses on mobilising private capital in support of the SDGs and the transition to Net Zero. He chairs the Impact Taskforce, set up under the G7; the Access Foundation for social investment and the (i)x Net Zero investment company.
